Join us for our 4th annual Homeschool Evaluations at the Farm on Thursday, May 8 from 10:00am-3:00pm! Evaluators and fellow homeschool mamas Dorothy Christopher and Kristin Jones will be evaluating at the barn of Like a Mustard Seed Farm. The environment is relaxed and comfortable. Younger siblings are welcomed to join. Evaluations are $30 per child with a cap of $100 per evaluator. Appointments are 15 min. If 2 children are being evaluated, please sign up for 2 consecutive slots. If 3 children are being evaluated, please sign up for 2 consecutive slots; 4 children, 3 slots. For grades K-6, please sign up for Dorothy Christopher. If Dorothy's schedule fills up, please consider signing up for Kristin as she can evaluate for grades K-12. For grades 7-12, please sign up for Kristin Jones. PLEASE BRING - Payment (cash or check made out to the instructor) - Proof of 180 days/900 hours of instruction - Proof of standardized testing (grades 3, 5, & 8 only) - Book Log (read-alouds, independent reading, textbooks, audio books, etc.) - Student work samples for major subject areas (enough to show progress) - Acknowledgement of fire safety education - If child has an IEP, please include any necessary documentation THE EVALUATOR WILL PROVIDE - printed copy of evaluation letters - a copy of credentials GOT QUESTIONS? I approach each evaluation with an open mind and heart and keep things very simple and laid back. My teaching experience includes serving as a homeschool aide for several families, teaching students with special needs and implementing IEP’s at Saucon Valley MS, teaching third grade for a handful of years at Plumstead Christian Elementary School, and now teaching my own beautiful babies, Demi (9), Maya (8), and Max (4)...with our little Dottie Ann (1) along for the ride. I look forward to serving your family! FROM KRISTIN: I consider it a great privilege to teach my own children, as well as serve others who choose the high road of homeschooling. I love talking with students and parents about the progress made throughout the year, and I do my best to lend any advice I can give. This year, my baby Sam will accompany me on eval day!
